Mike grew up locally and graduated from Tennyson High School, Chabot College, and California State University, Hayward.  He has earned a graduate degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration on American and Asian history from California State East Bay.  He is married and has two children.  He lives with his family in Hayward and they worship at First Baptist church in Castro Valley.  Mike has a long commitment to health, nutrition, and physical fitness.  He has dedicated himself to the field of teaching because he believes in the educational system.  He believes that skillful and effective teaching has the potential to ignite the interest children in authentic and constructive ways. Mike brings many exciting opportunities to our students in creative ways.  We are happy to have Mike on the staff at Calvary and we know that our students are extremely blessed to have Mr. Souza as a physical education teacher.
