Cathy's Aunt Sharon Promes passed away form melanoma today. We are sure she is with the Lord since she was a devout Catholic and demonstrated Jesus's love in he ways and life. Please pray for comfort for the ones she leaves behind.

Luke Gronert was readmitted to Kaiser, Hayward with a very bad infection in his body. He is still very weak from former procedures, so pray for strength and for healing.

Greetings;
I just received word that Bob Dailey fell down 12 stairs while visiting family in Wisconsin. He did not hurt himself severely - but he does have a sizable knot on his leg. Prayers of thanksgiving that he did not get seriously hurt, as well as prayers for healing.
Shirley Evjen continues to wait for the Lord to come. Pray for her strength and peace as she waits, also, pray for her son, Dave, who lives in Hawaii, as he also goes through this difficult time.

Greetings;
We have two important petitions to pray fervently about.

The first is our need for musicians for our contemporary service beginning on September 7th. We have posted an ad on our website, through local LCMS churches, the district newsletter, and will be contacting CSUEB and Chabot music departments. Pray for good and quick responses.

The second is that we want to schedule relevant and needed Bible studies and a new vitality in our SS ministry. Pray for us to find the right studies (parenting, marriage, family and in-depth study) and for the leaders and people resource needs to respond.

Greetings;
Prayers of thanksgiving - Luke Gronert came home last night - the doctors are confident that the problem will clear up over the next few months - they inserted a shunt in the vein to improve circulation. Continue prayers for strength, patience and healing.

Wilma Ramirez is in Manor Care of Walnut Creek for a few weeks of therapy and is doing much better. Shirley Evjen is still waiting for her transfer to heaven - they are keeping her comfortable.

My daughter, Jessica, is suffering from strep throat and has a doctor's appointment this afternoon. She is running a high fever, please pray for healing. She is also entertaining a job offer that will increase her pay, lower her stress (working 10 hour days), and provide a better working environment. Pray for God to direct her decision. Summer school is happening, pray for a good session and for the staff and students to enjoy their learning and time.

Please pray for prayers of peace and comfort for my step mom, Elaine. As many of you know my dad and step mom (Del & Elaine) were here for a couple of weeks. They just returned to PA on Weds. July 2 and got a phone call last nigiht about 1:00 am that Elaine's son, Kevin (age 48) had died from a brain aneurysm. She is in shock right now. I feel very helpless. Please keep my whole family in your prayers. Pray for guidance on decisions I need to make on whether or not to go out there.

Greetings; Wanted to update you on Luke - he had a procedure done yesterday which removed 85% of the blockage/clot and was resting fairly comfortably. Now we wait and pray it worked. Doctors are pretty confident the worst is over. We say thanks and pray the miracle continues all the way.

A co-worker of Barbara Goldhammer, Ann Rose, will be going in to surgery on July 9th to remove her breast cancer. Please pray for Ann Rose.

Greetings;
A prayer of thanksgiving from Kristi Morlock - her sister (due in October) received an electric shock while working on a rental property and it did not affect the baby or her - thanks for protection.

Some updates for you to pray over;
Luke Gronert had another procedure done today to remove the blood clot from his spine and to place a shunt in the vein. The doctors are hopeful this will clear up the clotting and allow them to assess any further damage due to circulation loss. Keep praying, we are expecting a miracle.
Wilma Ramirez is in San Ramon hospital with a lot of phlegm in her lungs from her constant struggle with pneumonia. They can't seem to find any meds or treatments that will clear it to this point. Pray for her and daughter, Julie.
Shirley Evjen continues to weaken daily. She is still aware of her surroundings and still desires to go home whenever the Lord calls. Pray for her deliverance.
We have not as yet located an organist for Sunday's service (rest of the summer is scheduled), so pray for God to provide.

Today our son Frank was activated by the California National Guard, San Lorenzo unit to assist in fighting the fires in Northern California. Pray that GOD will watch over him and others of his unit. Also for the others fighting fires.
