  Librivox is a free audio books program supported by volunteer readers. Recordings can be downloaded to play on your computer or mp3 player. Although the quality varies, most are very good. As an example, the most recent recording of Lew Wallace's Ben Hur is excellent, and for younger readers, I recommend Treasure Island.
